Mangroves:
A Tree that grows primarily in coastal brackish or brackish water. Mangroves grow in an equatorial climate, usually along coastlines and estuaries. They have special adaptations to take in excess oxygen and remove salt, allowing them to withstand conditions that would kill most plants.
Important for us:
Mangroves provide essential habitat for thousands of species. They also stabilize beaches, prevent erosion and protect the land—and the people who live there—from waves and storms.
Now you understand the introduction but what are the effects of launching mangroves in Sajawal and Badin in a very interesting way let's read:
Launch of major mangrove project in Sajawal, Badin:
This project zone is spread over 250,000 hectares in the districts of Sajawal and Badin where 194,000 hectares of degraded and devegetated wetlands will be restored through plantations and support the natural regeneration of various mangrove species & pupose of this project are to mitigate climate change!
Grows income level:
This project will generate income opportunities for the population in the project zone.Because Local people will be employed in collecting, storing and transporting the mangroves as well as raising the nurseries. Both men and women will get employment in these works & this will automatically increases income level!
